Meet Angélique Binet

Angélique Binet, based in Hanwell, New Brunswick, Canada, is an Online Visibility Strategist, TEDx Speaker, best-selling author, and Founder of Social Media Love, a coaching and consulting company dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs show up with confidence in the digital world. Originally from a farm in France and now based in Canada, Angélique blends over 30 years of experience in journalism, public communications, and digital media strategy to guide women through the fears that often hold them back from being seen. Her signature V.I.S.I.B.L.E. Method® integrates content strategy, identity evolution, and mindset work to help clients transform not just their marketing, but their relationship with their voice. Through every post, video, and conversation, she champions the belief that when a woman becomes visible to herself, she becomes powerful in her business and beyond.
Angélique Binet: From Rural Roots to Global Storytelling
Raised on a small farm in central France, Angélique Binet grew up surrounded by open skies, hard work, and a deep curiosity for people and ideas. That early sense of wonder and the tension between ambition and uncertainty became a lifelong driver.
“I remember being in the fields, feeling I was meant for something bigger, but overwhelmed about the ‘how,’” she later reflected. That feeling, she says, became the engine of her career: “fear in one hand and courage in the other.”
Her academic path took her through France’s elite Hypokhâgne–Khâgne system and institutions like INALCO, La Sorbonne, and Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she earned degrees in history, political science, and modern languages. She later completed a Bachelor of Journalism at King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. That early tension between ambition and uncertainty became the engine of her professional life, always moving toward a broader platform carrying what she now calls “fear in one hand and courage in the other.”
A Career Rooted in Media, Reimagined for Impact
Angélique’s early career in broadcast journalism was defined by rigor and intensity. From her time at Radio France Internationale and CBC/Radio-Canada to media assignments across Atlantic Canada, she was often a one-woman newsroom: camera, script, and gear in tow. “I did it all; technical, editorial, sometimes carrying 40 kilos of gear on my back”, she recalls.

But the grind eventually gave rise to a question: Could storytelling be used to empower rather than just inform? Could she help others become the main character in their own narratives? This inquiry led her into public sector communications. By 2007, Binet had transitioned to government communications, working with ministries in New Brunswick to manage both internal and external messaging. She advised provincial departments and contributed to shaping education policy at the national level. Still, it wasn’t enough. Angélique recognized that women’s voices, especially online were being silenced by fear, and she was determined to change that.
“Even with the best strategy, they weren’t stepping into the spotlight. That’s when I realized the block wasn’t tactical, it was internal,” Angélique reflects.
This realization sparked a major pivot. She left the security of government work and launched Social Media Love, a platform designed to help women not only market their business, but own their voice.
Building Social Media Love: Visibility as Inner Work

In 2014, from a coffee shop booth in Fredericton, Angélique launched Social Media Love, a business that helps women entrepreneurs build visibility systems grounded in authenticity and inner confidence. Her clients included coaches, creatives, consultants, and public figures, many of whom had successful businesses but struggled with self-promotion, sales content, or simply being seen. Social Media Love quickly gained traction, its signature offering, the V.I.S.I.B.L.E. Method®, bridges strategic content creation with deep mindset coaching. Clients don’t just learn how to write posts or run ads, they unlearn internal scripts that keep them small. Discover more here.
Angélique later became certified as a Neuro-Identity Evolution® Practitioner, allowing her to help clients reprogram their self-belief systems through both business coaching and trauma-informed tools.
“You can never outperform what you think,” she teaches. “Marketing works best when it’s built on aligned energy, not pressure, shame, or comparison.”
Through her 12-week programs like Magic with Social Media Love and The Comfort Zone Crusher Experiment, Angélique empowers women to move past fear and show up online with clarity, conviction, and joy. Her clients range from public figures and seasoned entrepreneurs to women launching their first offers, many of whom double their revenue, refine their digital presence, and finally feel seen. Podcasting, Public Speaking, and the Power of Voice
In 2020, Angélique launched her podcast, “The Real Story Behind Her Business,” which has since grown into a signature platform spotlighting women leaders who share their unfiltered business journeys. Streaming on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other major platforms, the show has featured authors, educators, coaches, and even future senators.
“I believe that women leaders currently have a historical advantage. The only thing you need is an internet connection and a voice.”

In May she delivered a TEDx talk, “Lessons for Feeling More Comfortable Online,” distilling two decades of fieldwork into a 12-minute call to action for every woman still holding back her story. Weeks later she self-published Are You VISIBLE?; it debuted as a best-seller in multiple business biography categories. The book’s core assertion, “You can never outperform what you think,” echoes across her podcast, Social Media Love, now surpassing ninety episodes. The phrase has become a signature quote, circulating from workshops in Canada to entrepreneur circles across the globe. Explore more here.
Book Launch & Live Events: Transforming Visibility Offline
In 2024, Angélique published her best-selling book Are You VISIBLE?, which became a central resource in her teachings. The book’s Halifax launch drew female founders, readers, and thought leaders offering not just a reading, but an embodied experience of what it means to show up boldly. As one reader put it, the book is “a mirror I didn’t know I needed.”

She regularly hosts her Social Media Love Happy Hour events and Comfort Zone Crusher workshops, combining breathwork, sales strategy, and belief breakthroughs in intimate settings. These retreats are where the theory becomes practice where women rehearse their first Facebook Live or rewrite their visibility story in a community of support.“This is why I get DMs saying, ‘You’re top of mind, would love to work with you’”, she noted following one session.
Helping Women Reclaim Their Digital Voice
Angélique works with women often over 40, who are accomplished, driven, and deeply experienced. They’ve built careers, raised families, or launched businesses, yet still find themselves struggling to be seen in the digital space. They’re not starting out; they’re leveling up.
“She’s ready to build her digital footprint from the inside out. She’s done playing small. She loves success, but she wants it to feel meaningful,” Angélique explains.
For these women, Angélique offers more than just content strategy. She creates a sanctuary, where they can reclaim their voice, rewrite their visibility story, and finally be seen on their own terms.
Trauma-Informed Coaching for Authentic Visibility
As a trauma-informed practitioner, Angélique doesn’t just tell women to “be confident.” She guides them through the very real fears that block visibility, many of which are rooted in rejection, perfectionism, or outdated identity narratives. “Fear of rejection and childhood traumas are the underpinning of every block women face in business,” she explains. “I help them shift from ‘Nobody cares about me’ to ‘My voice matters, and I change lives when I use it.”

By addressing the emotional roots of self-silencing, she helps clients build a visibility practice that feels safe, sustainable, and true. It’s not just about showing up, it’s about showing up without abandoning yourself.
Looking Ahead: Scaling Purpose with Strategy
Today, Angélique leads a distributed team of virtual assistants, sales experts, healers, copywriters, and media buyers. Together, they offer a full-service visibility ecosystem for women in business. From content strategy and ad campaigns to nervous system regulation, Social Media Love is designed to support the whole entrepreneur.
She continues to advise government clients, train leaders, and expand her digital offerings without losing touch with the one-on-one impact she values most. “When women feel safe at the strategy level and calm in their nervous system, they become unstoppable,” she explains. “That’s when the real magic happens.”
