In 2016, Ediel sought to deepen his knowledge and enhance his leadership skills by pursuing an MBA in Management of Human Resources at UNIP. This program equipped him with contemporary HR strategies and practices, solidifying his role as a knowledgeable leader in the field.

The First Steps: Ford Brazil

Ediel’s professional journey began in 1986 at Ford Brazil, where he took on the role of Compensation and Documentation Supervisor. This position allowed him to delve into the intricacies of employee compensation and benefits. He was responsible for analyzing and proposing compensation structures, monitoring personnel processes, and managing key productivity indicators. His experience at Ford laid the groundwork for his future roles, teaching him the value of structured HR practices and data-driven decision-making.

A Shift to Consumer Goods, Unilever

In 1992, Ediel transitioned to Unilever as a Human Resources Coordinator. In this role, he served as a business partner for the Logistics area of Van Den Bergh Business and Clayton/BR. His work at Unilever involved coordinating HR initiatives that aligned with business goals, reinforcing his ability to integrate human resources into the larger business strategy. Ediel’s innovative mindset and commitment to operational excellence began to shine, earning him recognition within the organization.

Expanding Horizons, Pirelli

In 1994, Ediel joined Pirelli as a Human Resources Manager, taking charge of the union relationship area in multiple locations. Automotive Innovations, Renault and Nissan

From 2000 to 2005, Ediel expanded his expertise in the automotive sector by joining Renault and Nissan in Brazil as the Manager of Labor and Union Relations. Here, he was responsible for drafting social relationship policies and managing strategic negotiations with various stakeholders, including labor unions and government agencies. His strategic approach to labor relations ensured a cooperative environment that minimized disruptions and fostered productivity. Ediel’s leadership during this period was instrumental in establishing best practices for social dialogue and conflict management.

A Strategic Role, Bunge Brazil

In 2005, Ediel took on a pivotal role at Bunge Brazil, a multinational company specializing in fertilizers, agribusiness, food, and bioenergy. As the Manager of Human Resources and Labor Relations, he was tasked with overseeing labor relations across 84 regional bases in Brazil. His focus on corporate standards, collective bargaining agreements, and reducing labor litigation demonstrated his capacity to manage complex HR challenges effectively. Under his leadership, Bunge experienced significant improvements in employee relations and operational efficiency.

Bunge Maroc Phosphore, Morocco (2007–2011)

During his time at Bunge Maroc Phosphore, a joint venture between Bunge Ltd and the Office Cherifiens des Fosfato, Ediel played a pivotal role in constructing HR policies and procedures. He managed the designation of key international professionals, such as engineers and CFOs, and oversaw local hiring. His efforts contributed to the JV’s success in producing sulfuric and phosphoric acid at the Maroc Phosphore industrial complex, a project involving a USD 360 million investment.

Consultancy and Beyond, Current Endeavors

Since 2015, Ediel has been working as a Human Resources Consultant specializing in labor and union relations. In this capacity, he advises companies on developing effective HR policies and practices that align with labor legislation. His consultancy work involves conducting assessments, mapping organizational climates, and implementing improvement plans. Ediel’s commitment to fostering positive work environments and enhancing organizational culture has made him a sought-after expert in the field.

Privacy Manager (LGPD), Since 2020

In 2020, Ediel became a certified Data Privacy Manager, adapting data protection contracts in compliance with Brazil’s LGPD regulations.
