Jack’s career took a significant leap forward when he joined River Agency as a Web Designer. In this role, Jack managed and designed incentive websites for prestigious clients like Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, and BP. These early experiences gave him the opportunity to refine his skills in UX and UI design, working on multi-lingual, responsive websites that had to perform seamlessly across all devices and browsers.
It was at River Agency where Jack developed his knack for blending visual design with user experience a combination that would later become his signature style. His role involved not just designing visually appealing websites, but ensuring that they delivered on the client’s business goals, such as improving user retention and increasing conversion rates.
Breaking Ground in UX: Key Roles at Tagstr and Sonovate
Jack’s next pivotal role was at Tagstr, where he took on the position of UI Designer. At Tagstr, a global social and content-sharing platform, Jack led the design of a user interface that significantly improved user flow and retention. He conducted user testing and usability research on a daily basis, proving his ability to iterate and improve based on feedback. His agile approach helped Tagstr stand out in a competitive landscape, merging elements of popular platforms like Snapchat and Vimeo into one easy-to-use app.
From Tagstr, Jack moved to Sonovate, where he worked as a UX Designer and led the development of a brand-new timesheet system for the recruitment industry. His company focuses on crafting high-performing websites and mobile apps that drive conversions, increase customer loyalty, and improve overall user experience.
Jack’s work with Motokiki, a UK-based tyre comparison site, stands out as one of his most challenging and rewarding projects. Serving as the Senior Designer, Jack was responsible for everything from UX/UI design to brand development and corporate identity. He built the company’s entire design system from scratch, including the website, user flow, and internal and external signage.

In parallel to running his own company, Jack has also worked as a UX Consultant for several major projects.
