Nikhil Vaish’s journey into the world of branding and strategy began with a solid educational foundation at Boston University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Stepping onto the Global Stage: Early Career at Lintas and Ammirati Puris Lintas
Nikhil’s professional career began in India with Lintas Bombay, one of the country’s premier advertising agencies. Here, he quickly demonstrated his ability to manage major accounts, including giants like Unilever India, Cadbury India, and Johnson & Johnson India. His success at Lintas soon led him to Ammirati Puris Lintas in London, where he continued to hone his skills on a global platform.

“Working in different markets early in my career taught me the universal principles of great branding— understanding your audience, creating emotional connections, and delivering consistent value,” Nikhil says.

Climbing the Ranks: Leadership at Ogilvy & Mather

In 2000, Nikhil made a significant move to Ogilvy & Mather, one of the world’s leading advertising agencies. Over the next eight years, he held several senior roles, including VP, Management Supervisor, and SVP, Executive Marketing Director. During this time, Nikhil led key accounts such as IBM, AT&T Wireless, and Eastman Kodak, managing cross-disciplinary teams and orchestrating global campaigns.

“The challenge was to align diverse teams across multiple markets while maintaining a unified brand message,” Nikhil recalls.

Entrepreneurial Ventures: Founding Vaish Consulting and BoostSolo

After his successful tenure at Ogilvy, Nikhil transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding Vaish Consulting in 2015. As the Founder and Chief Strategist, Nikhil leveraged his vast industry experience to offer strategic consulting services to high-profile clients, including Publicis, Citigroup, H&R Block, and the National Cancer Institute. In 2024, Nikhil took his entrepreneurial spirit further by launching BoostSolo, a company dedicated to empowering solopreneurs.

“I saw a need for specialized support for solo entrepreneurs—people who are often juggling every aspect of their business alone,” Nikhil explains.
