In 1983, Terry was offered a job as the New England Sales Manager at Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), despite having no prior sales experience. She embraced the opportunity and quickly discovered her natural talent for sales. In just three years, she transformed a $650,000 territory into a $1.3 million success by the time she left in 1986. This experience taught her a valuable lesson: “Say YES even if you don’t have all the credentials.” From WWD, Terry moved on to a successful 11-year career at Condé Nast, further solidifying her reputation as a results-driven professional.


Transition to Coaching

At age 60, in 2003,Terry took a bold step into the world of coaching, founding TRY Coaching. Here, she found her true calling—helping individuals and organizations achieve greater self-awareness, fulfillment, and success. “Coaching found me,” Terry often says, reflecting on the natural evolution of her career. Over the past two decades, she has coached hundreds of professionals, from young entrepreneurs to seasoned C-suite executives, guiding them through the complexities of personal and professional growth.
