Emigrating to the United States
In 1999, Rochelle emigrated to South Carolina to work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Richland Memorial Hospital for a short-term contract. However, she soon found herself settling in Florida by late December of that year. She worked in the ICU at Palmetto General Hospital and Jackson Memorial, gaining extensive experience in critical care nursing.

In 2002, Rochelle became certified as a Legal Nurse Consultant and began her administrative climb into the executive office. Working for Allyn C. McKinney and Keller & Associates, she developed her skills in legal consulting and healthcare administration before moving into administration at South Miami/Mercy Hospital, now called HCA. Rochelle’s commitment to excellence and her knack for innovation quickly caught the attention of her peers and superiors alike. She transitioned into roles of increasing responsibility, including Quality Improvement Manager for Women’s Services at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital. In this capacity, Rochelle spearheaded initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and quality of care, earning accolades for her dedication and leadership.
