Early Beginnings: A Passion for Teaching Ignited

Oluwagbemiro Favour’s journey into the realm of education began with humble roots and a burning passion to impart knowledge. It all started from 1989 to 1993 at Bisbon Nursery and Primary School, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria, where Oluwagbemiro, fresh from completing her secondary education, embarked on her first teaching role. It was an experience that would shape her future profoundly.

A Foundation in Teaching

During her time at Bisbon Nursery and Primary School, Oluwagbemiro discovered her innate talent for connecting with young minds. Her days were filled with colorful classrooms, eager faces, and the joy of witnessing students’ growth firsthand. This initial experience was pivotal as

Oluwagbemiro’s journey took an exhilarating turn when she ventured into the realm of coaching. In 2023, she obtained certification as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) life coach, adding a new dimension to her already illustrious career.

Through her coaching practice, Oluwagbemiro empowers individuals to challenge self-limiting beliefs, manage stress, and craft lives filled with purpose and fulfillment. Her approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based strategies, and a deep understanding of human behavior.

The Journey to Professionalism: Nurturing Minds at Christ Radiant College

With a thirst for learning and a passion for education, Oluwagbemiro pursued her formal education at the Federal College of Education (Technical) in Akoka, Lagos. Here, she honed her skills in Fine and Applied Arts, embracing the art of creativity and expression. Armed with a National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Fine/Applied Art, Oluwagbemiro took her first steps into the professional teaching arena.

Her journey continued at Christ Radiant College, where she served as a Course Instructor for Grade 8. It was a period marked by dedication, innovation, and a deep commitment to nurturing young talents. Oluwagbemiro’s classrooms became spaces of inspiration, where creativity flourished, and students were encouraged to explore their potential.

From 1999 to 2002, she was a classroom teacher at the then Oke-Odo High School, (now Oke-Odo Senior High School),  Abule Egba, Lagos State.

A Beacon of Excellence: Federal Ministry of Defence Hqts Abuja

In 2011, Oluwagbemiro embarked on a new chapter of her career as a Form Teacher at Command  Schools under the Ministry of Defence Hqts Abuja, having been fully employed as a Federal Government Staff in the Ministry. 

This role was not just a job; it was a calling—a calling to mold young minds, nurture aspirations, and shape futures.

Oluwagbemiro’s passion for guiding young minds found a home at the Command Day Secondary School Lungi Barracks Maitama Abuja. Prior to 2011, she took on the role of a Teaching Assistant from 2002 to 2011, working alongside lead teachers to create enriching learning environments. Her responsibilities included assisting in lesson planning, providing individualized support to students, and fostering a culture of academic excellence.

As Teaching Assistant at Command Day Secondary School, Lungi Barracks, Maitama Abuja, Oluwagbemiro’s impact reverberated through the hallways. Students found in her a mentor, a confidant, and a source of inspiration. Her dedication to their success was unwavering, evident in the improved academic performance and heightened engagement within the classroom.

As a Form Teacher for Grades 09 to 12, (2017 – 2020), Oluwagbemiro implemented innovative teaching methods that catered to the diversed  needs of her students. Her classrooms were hubs of creativity, where learning transcended textbooks and ventured into the realms of critical thinking and problem-solving. She took her students on excursions and participated in various extracurricular activities. 

Cultivating Leaders: Founder of Magnifical Core Craft

Driven by a vision to empower individuals beyond the classroom, Oluwagbemiro founded Magnifical Core Craft in 2017. This venture marked the culmination of her years of experience, passion for education, and entrepreneurial spirit.

As the Founder and CEO of Magnifical Core Craft, Oluwagbemiro embarked on a mission to cultivate leaders in the Creative Industry. Her strategic leadership set the course for the organization, guiding her team towards innovation, growth, and excellence. Under her guidance, Magnifical Core Craft became a beacon of creativity, producing cutting-edge products and services that met the evolving needs of the industry.

A Transformational Journey: Coaching and Leadership Mastery

Oluwagbemiro’s journey took an exhilarating turn when she ventured into the realm of coaching. In 2023, she obtained certification as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Life Coach, from The Transformation Academy, USA, (Remote), adding a new dimension to her already illustrious career. In the same year she became a member of the Chartered Institute of Monitoring and Coaching Nigeria (CIMCN)

Through her coaching practice, Oluwagbemiro empowers individuals to challenge self-limiting beliefs, manage stress, and craft lives filled with purpose and fulfillment. Her approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based strategies, and a deep understanding of human behavior.

Embracing Lifelong Learning: Academic and Professional Achievements

Oluwagbemiro has evidently established herself as a staunch advocate of lifelong learning. She holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in English Language and Literature/Letters from the National Open University of Nigeria. Additionally, she has pursued certifications in Introduction to Child Psychology, Creativity and Creative Problem Solving, Secondary Education and Teaching from Alison and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

The certification as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) life coach, adding a new dimension to her already illustrious career.

Her commitment to excellence has been recognized through various accolades, including the Certificate of Honour as the BEST FORM TEACHER in the 12th Grade class of 2020. Oluwagbemiro’s impact extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by her recognition as a LinkedIn Top Voice—an acknowledgment of her influence in the digital sphere.
